It's been a while since I've had a blog, but a blog is so much more rewarding than Twitter or Facebook posts. 

So here I am. I survived a stroke at the beginning of 2021 without any loss of competence. I have zero deficit, and the entire exercise cost me $AUD26, the difference between my neurologist's fee and the Medicare rebate. US citizens take note!

My family's maximum life expectancy has been eighty-four, both for my father's and my mother's. We are not good at longevity. 

So this blog is about dealing with the last years of our life.
